Boeing has partnered with Dynamatic Technologies Ltd of Bangalore, India, in a supplier contract for the CH-47F Chinook helicopter, the Hindu Business Line reported Thursday.

Amrita Nair Ghaswalla writes that under the supplier contract, Dynamatic will be responsible for manufacturing the chopper’s pylon and cargo ramp assemblies.

“This is a great example of an Indian company competitively bidding for a significant work package, and also expanding its capabilities by partnering with Boeing to become part of the global supply chain,” said Dennis Swanson, vice president for international business development at Boeing defense, space and security in India.

Dynamatic, which designs and builds automotive and aerospace products, first teamed up with Boeing in March 2010 for the mission-and-power equipment of India’s P-8I maritime aircrafts.
