Creative Computing Solutions Inc. supports the Department of Veterans Affairs’ recent updates to the Blue Button system as the VA sought to make the feature more accessible and relevant for users.
The new features are designed to give veterans a more detailed account of their medical records and share these health data with providers more readily, the health informatics company said.
CCSi says the expanded Blue Button now features patients’ continuity of care documents, health records summaries and VA OpenNotes, which contain their physicians’ notations.
Dr. Naren Bewtra, president and chief operating officer of CCSi, said the new features are intended to help veterans take a proactive and knowledgeable approach to healthcare and help doctors make more holistic treatment decisions.
“Our mission is to continually improve access, interoperability and portability, resulting in outcome-driven, veteran-centric health services,” he added.
The Blue Button service comes under VA’s the My HealtheVet program.
