In this position, Sprague oversees BD for NCR’s federal government sector.
Earlier in his career, he gained experience in BD by bringing a pre-IPO company, XYLAN, into new data telecommunications markets.
His other BD endeavors include Telica (Lucent), Corvis Corp. (Broadwing), Pirelli Optical (Cisco), BEA (Oracle) and Leapstone Systems (Motorola).
Sprague entered the information technology field with IBM in 1989, rising to become a senior salesman in three years.
He recently retired after 40 years of combined Active and Army National Guard service, including a six year voluntary mobilization after the 9/11 attack.
Sprague has served on both the US Army Staff and the National Guard Bureau. He has certifications as a military logistician and in management of current DoD information systems.
He holds a BS from the US Military Academy, an MBA from Boston University and MA in National Security Studies from Georgetown University.
