Whitney Vickrey, chief service officer of GCE, will be among guest speakers of the Association of Government Accountants at event to be held at the Gaylord Texan & Convention Center in Texas on Sunday.
She will participate in a session on the first day of the 2013 AGA Professional Development Conference that aims to discuss factors that affect the public sector’s transition to cloud environments, GCE said Friday.
The topic “Cloudy with a Chance of Risk” will seek to guide financial executives on how to cope with dangers in the implementation of transformation initiatives as well as recognize the advantages of modern technology.
It will also tackle the significance of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program as a means to regulate the provision and utilization of cloud environments.
GCE says it will organize a booth to introduce a financial accounting service developed to provide tools that are meant to enhance the productivity and organizational governance of agencies.
The four-day AGA Professional Development Conference runs until Wednesday.
