General Dynamics Information Technology intends to hire 1,000 people for its office in London, Ky. and 300 employees for the site in Winchester, Gov. Steve Beshear said Friday.

Customer service agents will start staffing the new call center this summer, GDIT says.

General Dynamics will hold job fairs at Bluegrass Community and Technical College’s Winchester-Clark County Campus on July 15 and 16 and at Somerset Community College in London on July 20 and 27.

Kentucky’s Economic Development Finance Authority approved $11.5 million in tax incentives for General Dynamics-acquired Vangent.

The tax incentive requires the company to maintain corporate income tax credits and wage assessments during the term of the agreement.
