Harris Corp. was honored by the National Veteran Small Business Coalition for exceeding the company’s fiscal year 2012 goals for awarding contracts to small businesses owned by veterans.
The company is one of 12 recipients of the Champions of Veteran Enterprise award, the company said Thursday.
Wayne Lucernoni, Harris IT Services president, said the company continues to develop suppliers relationships with service-disabled and veteran-owned small businesses.
Harris also announced that its mentor-protege agreement with SDVOSB TJ Westlake, LLC has been recently approved by the State Department.
Under the partnership, Harris will provide program management and business acquisition training to TJ Westlake employees for three years.
