Jacques Desclaux has been named CEO of Roxel, the tactical missile propulsion joint venture of the Safran Group and MBDA.
Desclaux’s appointment was announced during the July 2 Board of Directors Meeting, the MBDA said in a July 3 statement.
Prior to his appointment, Desclaux was the chairman and CEO of PowerJet, a Snecma company based in France.
Joining Snecma, a subsidiary of Safron, in 1984, Desclaux has led various engine, rocket and missile programs. He was also the Europrop International executive vice president.
Desclaux will replace David Quanchard who was appointed as director of the space engines division at Snecma.
