Mario Azar has been promoted to chief executive officer of solutions under Siemens Energy’s oil and gas division.
Azar led the company’s gas turbine power plant solutions business in the North and South American regions as an executive vice president in the fossil power generation division for five years, Siemens said Monday.
“The oil & gas solutions business is key to our energy portfolio and growth strategy,” said Adil Toubia, oil & gas division CEO at Siemens Energy.
“Mario Azar brings to this business over 23 years of experience in energy with a proven track record in the projects business,” Toubia said.
Before he came to Siemens, Azar held various positions at Westinghouse as well as in other companies in China and Germany.
