Oracle Helps Strata Upgrade its Patient Flow Technology; Darren Jones Comments

OracleLogoOracle Corp. has developed a database infrastructure for Strata Health Solutions to modernize its resource matching and referral technology that healthcare customers use to address the growing demands of patients.

Strata picked Oracle’s Database Appliance and Real Application Clusters that work with its software-as-a-service pathways with the goal of helping the company’s local health integration networks expand database resources and reduce system downtime, Oracle said Wednesday.

Strata uses the database appliance’s licensing model and virtualization support through the Oracle VM server.

Darren Jones, chief operating officer at Strata Health Solutions, said the database infrastructure will help healthcare providers deliver patient care.

Strata PathWays works to boost server transactions and page loads, eliminate run-time errors and minimize session timeouts, according to Oracle.

Strata Health also worked to move customers from a hosted hardware platform to the Oracle Database Appliance.
