Serco Plans 600 Workers for Kentucky Data Processing Center; Charles Pennington Comments

Serco Logo_ExecutiveBizSerco Inc. is opening a data processing center in London, Ky. and intends to open the facility by Oct. 1, the Times Tribune reported Thursday.

Jeff Noble writes that the center will be located at the London-Laurel County Industrial Park and is intended to create 638 new jobs in the area.

Charles Pennington, executive director of the London-Laurel County Industrial Development Authorityr, told the newspaper Serco is currently taking online applications for job opportunities in the new center.

Serco will conduct onsite interviews Aug. 19 and also plans to hold job fairs, Pennington said.

Pennington also told the Times Tribune the company intends to lease nearly 51,000 square feet for the facility.
