Autodesk Rolls Out Cloud-Based Infrastructure Modeling Platform; Amar Hanspal Comments

AutodeskLogoAutodesk has developed a new cloud-based platform that aims to provide new visualization, simulation and three-dimensional modeling technologies to customers in the infrastructure industry.

InfraWorks 360 Pro also offers cloud-based collaboration, desktop software and other tools that encourage the adoption of building information modeling processes, Autodesk said Wednesday.

The product seeks to help users create proposals and designs, share updates and communicate project needs with stakeholders throughout the building lifecycle, said Amar Hanspal, senior vice president for the IPG product group at Autodesk.

Autodesk also included features to grade and shape terrain, render photos and import existing information such as geo

The desktop software includes options to enhance terrain grading and shaping, photo-realistic rendering, and import existing items such as geographical information systems and satellite imagery.

Starting this month, customers can purchase InfraWorks 360 Pro for a three-month trial or for short-term projects.
