Capgemini Launches Big Data Tool on Amazon Cloud; Scott Schlesinger Comments

Cloud Computing, ExecutiveBizCapgemini has introduced a big data analytics tool on Amazon Web Services as part of efforts to help organizations manage large volumes of data, FierceBiotechIT reported Monday.

Nick Paul Taylor writes the Elastic Analytics platform will work to convert datasets into a format compatible with business intelligence software applications.

Scott Schlesinger, Capgemini senior vice president of business information management, told the website AWS will aim to provide a platform for organizations to deploy and sustain their analytics initiatives.

Capgemini leverages AWS’ Hadoop-based Amazon Elastic Map Reduce, an application that integrates structured and unstructured data, according to the report.

Taylor reports BI platforms collect the EMR output in order to help customers analyze data.
