Hewlett-Packard’s U.S. public sector group has achieved the Capability Maturity Model Integration Institute’s highest possible rating for processes and practices of an organization.
Atkott conducted the assessment and this is HP’s fourth CMMI level 5 appraisal, this time recognizing HP’s U.S. Public Sector Center for Enabling Client Excellence High Maturity organization for maintaining high maturity center requirements, HP said Monday.
CMMI ratings seek to evaluate an organization’s software and systems engineering, program management and organizational management capabilities.
Marilyn Crouther, senior vice president and general manager of the U.S. public sector at HP Enterprise Services, said the company aims to deliver software engineering services to customers.
“Our public sector clients’ mission objectives are becoming increasingly difficult to achieve as budgets shrink, timelines for completion shorten and complexity increases,” adds Crouther.
HP Enterprise Services’ Medicare systems high maturity group, within the CECE High Maturity organization, has also earned the CMMI level five for development for the third time.
