IBMlogo3 EbizA Slovenia-based railway operator has selected an IBM cloud-based platform to centralize passenger, freight and logistics information systems across its rail network.

Slovenian Railways handles trains that carry 15.3 million passengers and 15.8 million tons of cargo per year and IBM will provide its SmartCloud to help the operator’s IT service desk move to a converged infrastructure, IBM said Thursday.
