Intel, Unisys to Roll Out New Servers for Cloud and Big Data Processing

data ServersIntel and Unisys are partnering to develop a new range of servers for cloud and big data processing, IT World reported Tuesday.

Andy Patrizio writes the offering to be unveiled at a Unisys event in Chicago on Sept. 9 is designed for enterprises that want to migrate from legacy platforms such as RISC systems.

The new Xeon-based servers make use of Unisys’ updated sPar partitioning offering, Intel’s Turbo Boost technology and AES NI for high-volume encryption.

The servers are also Linux, Windows and Unix compatible.
