Kara Wilson, a veteran of SAP and Cisco, has joined network security provider FireEye as chief marketing officer.
FireEye develops a virtual machine-based platform intended to protect commercial and government networks from cyber attacks and Wilson will work to increase brand awareness for that software offering, FireEye said Monday.
“With Kara’s track record developing world-class enterprise marketing organizations, she is a very welcome addition to the FireEye team,” said David DeWalt, chairman and CEO of FireEye.
Wilson also held marketing leadership roles at Okta, SuccessFactors, Network General and PeopleSoft.
The FireEye platform is designed with virtualization technology and works to block malicious programs on file, email and web systems.
