He previously served as vice president of privacy and security legal and chief privacy officer at Oracle where he worked closely with Oracle corporate security on privacy and security oversight and compliance, according to a GE statement.
Brackett Denniston, GE SVP and General Counsel, said Lefkowitz has previously built secured capabilities and offerings and has many years of operational experience.
At Oracle, Lefkowitz structured and managed cloud services, responded to security incidents and maintained required information protection systems, policies, standards, registrations and certifications.
Prior to joining Oracle in 1998, he clerked for the Honorable Robert E. Coyle, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.
He graduated with a bachelor of arts in history from Yale College and received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
