Theo Priestley has joined Software AG as vice president and chief evangelist and will be responsible for the company’s brand awareness strategy, marketing and public relations.
As chief evangelist, Priestley will encourage employee, clients, analysts and industry engagement through blogs, interviews, conferences and social media, Priestley wrote in a blog post Saturday.
“For those who know me you’ll know I’m opinionated on just about every tech trend but also extremely passionate about what technology can achieve, and it’s that passion and thought leadership I’m going to be bringing through Software AG now, translating that into the heart of the messages that make up what we have as solutions and services in a simplified way,” Priestley wrote.
Priestley will handle the marketing of Software AG’s business process, big data, cloud and mobile products.
Priestley has managed BPMredux, a technology and business related blog, since 2007.
Prior to joining Software AG, Priestley has served various roles at Wipro Technologies, Theology Limited, Tech-Rx, Pegasystems, 2i Ltd. and Bank of Scotland.
