Autodesk has introduced new payment options for users of the company’s desktop applications based on the amount of time they wish to hold licenses for the software.
Customers can now purchase monthly, quarterly or annual licenses for Design and Creation Suites, 3ds Max, Maya and the new Maya LT with access to Autodesk 360 services and product updates, Autodesk said Monday.
Andrew Anagnost, senior vice president of industry strategy and marketing at Autodesk, said the company aims to fulfill demand from clients for expanded access to Autodesk’s design, engineering and entertainment creation tools.
The new rental plans also apply to other product suites such as AutoCAD Design, AutoCAD Inventor LT, AutoCAD Revit LT, Building Design, Factory Design, Infrastructure Design, Plant Design and Product Design.
Autodesk will start offering the monthly, quarterly and annual licenses on Sept. 16 and the plans’ availability will vary by country, the company says.
