Barbara Gordon, formerly vice president of worldwide customer support at Microsoft, and Phil Bullinger, a former senior vice president of storage at Oracle, have joined an EMC subsidiary, CRN reported Tuesday.
Kevin McLaughlin writes an EMC spokesperson said via email that Gordon has been named chief operating officer at Isilon Systems in charge of “a wide set of operational functions.”
Bullinger has assumed the role of senior vice president of engineering and operations at the EMC unit, the spokesperson added as quoted in the online article.
McLaighlin reports Gordon was with Sun Microsystems for 19 years before she started working for Microsoft in 2003 and led the company’s customer service and support group starting in 2009.
Bullinger, who holds five patents in integrated circuit design and storage technology, brings to Isilon his 15 years of industry experience, according to CRN.
The write-up notes Bullinger served as executive VP and general manager at LSI Corp.’s Engenio Storage Group prior to joining Oracle, where he led its SAN/NAS storage systems business.
According to the report, EMC purchased Isilon Systems for $2.25 billion two years ago.
