DataDirect Networks and Sierra Detention Systems have partnered to deploy a controls system for video surveillance applications as the companies aim to help physical security customers address storage and data capture requirements.
The integrated security controls technology works to capture data and archive videos and is based on DDN’s SFA storage engine and Sierra Detention Systems’ PSIM technology, DDN said Tuesday.
PD Sims, Sierra Detention Systems’ director of engineering, said the companies aim for the products to meet requirements of law enforcement customers for life safety and facility operations.
Jeff Denworth, vice president of marketing at DDN, added the video collection and content management offering will work to help fulfill the physical security applications needs of customers.
Sierra’s control system is designed to manage large volumes of surveillance and sensor data and DDN’s SFA technology works to connect users to spinning and Flash media.
