Lanny Bernier, formerly vice president of national security at USIS, has joined Vienna, Va.-based A-T Solutions as executive vice president of national security solutions.
He brings experience in supporting counterterrorism, diplomatic security and federal law enforcement programs to his new role, A-T Solutions said Tuesday.
Dennis Kelly, A-T Solutions president and CEO, said Bernier worked with clients in the civilian, government and military sectors in previous roles and will help lead the company’s internal operations.
Bernier has also served as a program manager for USIS in Baghdad and as VP and chief operating officer at Homeland Security Corp.
Before joining the private sector, he served as a Diplomatic Security Service member and led the agency’s training center until retiring from the State Department in 2004.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from American University and a master’s degree in public administration from Georgia Southern University.
