A refinery complex located southwest of Philadelphia has implemented a security network designed by Boeing to keep track of waterways surrounding the site.
Watchstander Integrated Security Solutions is designed with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance technologies to guard the 5,000-acre Delaware City Refinery, Boeing said Wednesday.
Delaware City Refinery uses the network to secure waterways within the Delaware River.
Mike Hettmann, director of tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance at Boeing, said federal, state and local agencies have deployed Watchstander.
The company deployed the security network three weeks after an agreement was reached between Boeing and the refinery.
