In this role, he is responsible for all the sector’s business management activities, including finance, accounting, contracts, pricing, procurement, regulatory and export compliance, real estate and facilities. Anderson is also a member of the company’s Chief Financial Officer Council.
Additionally, as part of the business management team, he is responsible for financial planning and reporting, contracts and subcontracts management, indirect expense management, regulatory compliance and program planning and control.
Anderson joined Northrop in 1983 and has since held a number of increasingly responsible positions in the finance and business management areas.
He most recently served as vice president and controller for the information systems sector and before that he held the same position in the mission systems sector. Anderson was also the business management director for the former Command, Control and Intelligence and ISD divisions.
Earlier, he served as director of business management for mission systems’ MSS program in a leadership role for developing the long-range strategic plan and annual operating plan for the missile defense division, the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Prime Integration Contract and the Kinetic Energy Interceptors programs.
Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and accounting from Cal State Long Beach and a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University.
