BAE Systems’ military air and information segment has selected Infor to update its enterprise resource planning systems as the defense contractor aims to consolidate business processes, Computer Weekly reports.
Lindsay Clark writes BAE uses Infor applications such as LN for the central ERP system and EAM for asset management and warehouse mobility, as well as business intelligence and enterprise performance management for analysis and reporting into its system.
The project is scheduled for completion in 2015, according to the report.
“We knew we had to redesign our business process, because each ERP system brought its own business process and therefore we wanted a single-core business process,” John Booth, MAI project lead, told Computer Weekly.
Clark writes BAE has already implemented ERP systems from Baan, which Infor recently acquired.
