John Walsh has been named the new vice president of sales and marketing at Mobility Ventures LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of AM General.
In his new role, Walsh is in-charge of the local and international sales and marketing activities for the company’s MV-1, a vehicle designed for wheelchair passengers, AM Energy announced Monday.
Rick Smith AM General executive vice president and Mobility Ventures president said Walsh’s appointments adds to the company’s ongoing MV-1 assembly efforts at its 675,000 square-foot commercial assembly plant in Mishawaka, Ind.
The MV-1, compliant with the American with Disabilities Act, is the only vehicle in its class that has a factory-installed clean-burning compressed natural gas fuel option.
According to the company, the vehicle has a 290-mile range and will work to reduce light-duty fleet emissions and cost.
