Level 3 Communications and Amazon Web Services have forged an alliance with the goal of helping enterprises access AWS cloud computing platforms.
As an AWS partner, Level 3 will offer Ethernet and virtual private network connections intended to support Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud, Simple Storage Service and Virtual Private Cloud infrastructure, Level 3 said Wednesday.
Paul Savill, Level 3 senior vice president of product management, said the companies to help customers manage applications in the cloud.
According to Level 3, enterprises can use the service to create a link between data centers, remote office locations and AWS.
Level’s Cloud Connect Solutions offering is designed with fiber route networks that work to address performance and security issues.
