The companies intend to educate customers on how the Linux OpenStack platform runs on Intel’s Architecture for the On-Ramp to Enterprise OpenStack initiative, Red Hat said Tuesday.
Imad Sousou, vice president and general manager of Intel’s open source technology center, said the integrated system is intended to help organizations secure cloud deployments and assess private and hybrid cloud environments.
Radhesh Balakrishnan, general manager of virtualization at Red Hat, added the On-Ramp to Enterprise OpenStack program aims to unlock the potential of OpenStack for customers.
That initiative covers a test flight for organizations to develop proofs of concept and evaluate OpenStack offerings, as well as a series of instructor-led and hands-on workshops across North America and Europe.
The training series is scheduled to start in 2014.
