Red Hat has launched new open, converged virtual and storage infrastructure products that aim to help companies with remote and branch offices secure business applications and data.
The Red Hat Virtual Infrastructure Storage is a suite of two products that works to prevent vendor lock-in and support business applications the company announced Oct. 7.
One product, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, is designed as a centralized management platform for virtual environments such as networks, servers and storage.
A second offering, Red Hat Storage Server, intends to provide users global access to data across physical, virtual and cloud environments.
The company designed Storage Server to integrate with x86 commodity servers and virtual machines.
