Verizon has introduced a new portfolio of cloud computing infrastructure-as-a-service and object-based storage products for enterprise customers.
A public beta program for the cloud product suite is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of this year, Verizon announced Thursday.
“We took feedback from our enterprise clients across the globe and built a new cloud platform from the bottom up to deliver the attributes they require,” said John Stratton, Verizon Enterprise Solutions president.
The IaaS platform is intended to help users configure virtual machines, network performance and storage architecture.
Object storage works to support multiple web-based cloud applications and address latency issues.
Verizon says the cloud offerings leverage its global Internet Protocol network, data centers and managed security service.
