Customers can use the new technologies to combine IBM System z and their cloud environments for data storage, virtualized environments and application deployments, CA said Wednesday.
Michael Madden, mainframe general manager at CA, said the company aims help customers grow their information technology portfolios in order to meet business needs.
The offerings are CA Cloud Storage for managing costs, CA AppLogic for private cloud platforms and CA VM:Manager Suite for Linux on System z for mainframe virtual environments.
CA also intends for clients to integrate the CA LISA Service Virtualization service into development operations in order to simulate mainframe platforms.
The mainframe features IMS Connect protocol for IMS gateway transactions and standard system support for IRM headers and COBOL copybook or XML parsers.
