Dr. Andrew Garrabrants has joined CH2M Hill as a stabilization and solidification of waste media expert in Nashville, Tenn., effective Jan. 2, 2014.
In his new role, Garrabrants will be part of the company’s environmental services business group’s roll out of the leaching environmental assessment framework, CH2M Hill announced Monday.
The LEAF method is used to asses the environmental impact of solid wastes and construction materials and reusing the byproducts of energy production and industrial processes.
“In conjunction with our accredited in-house Applied Science Laboratory, the addition of Dr. Garrabrants will provide our Clients with S/S treatability studies and project recommendations,” said George Hicks, CH2M HILL’s Global Practice Director for Sediment Management and Remediation.
Garrabrants is currently working at Vanderbilt University as a research associate professor of civil and environmental engineering.
