A business unit of General Dynamics has received the 2013 Nunn-Perry Award from the Defense Department, recognizing the division’s rmentor-protege relationship with a woman-owned small business in Phoenix, Ariz.
General Dynamics C4 Systems partnered with nFocus Solutions between 2006 and 2012 to help the latter company become a major subcontractor for a U.S. Army program, General Dynamics announced Wednesday.
The award is sponsored by the Pentagon’s Office of Small Business Program and recognizes companies that provide technical assistance, return on investment and protege development to partners.
“During our mentor-protege partnership we gained valuable insights from each other and developed new products and capabilities,” said Chris Marzilli, General Dynamics C4 Systems president.
Founded in 1994, nFocus works on the Army’s Digital Training Management System program, which provides training statuses of more than 2 million soldiers and civilians worldwide.
