HP Enterprise services has secured more federal healthcare information technology work, following up on a $166 million task order in July with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services with a report that the company will take over as web host of Healthcare.gov.
Under the CMS award, HP is hosting Medicare Part A and Part B fee-for-services claims processes through the Virtual Data Center-Prime program and working to strengthen cybersecurity protections.
The company will soon host the federal health insurance marketplace through a new data center and a transition to that responsibility is ongoing. The Wall Street Journal and CNBC both reported the news on Wednesday.
In an interview following her election to the Washington100, Crouther singled out the CMS contract as an example of “pan-HP” contract wins “that showcase the combination of HP products and services.”
“My efforts are focused on being a mission enabler,” Crouther told GovCon Exec. “By listening to our clients to fully understand their mission and business challenges, and by encouraging our teams to creatively and aggressively apply of the power of IT to address those challenges.”
