Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has won a $2.4 million contract to improve and implement an Education Department employee training program locally and across the country.
Career Pathways is an employee development initiative designed to help prepare individuals for their chosen professions using services of the Labor and Education departments as well as the Department of Health and Human Services, Kratos said Wednesday.
The defense company will provide custom-made technical assistance and resources for varying economic and social situations of different states.
“Our team is committed to helping states build successful Career Pathways systems,” said Laura Lanier, director of education services at Kratos.
The contract work is part of a Kratos-led project for the Office of Vocational and Adult Education Policy to Performance program of the Education Department and the Career Pathways Technical Assistance initiative of the Labor Department, which were started over the past four years.
“We are fortunate to have the background and experience from both the designing instruction for Career Pathways as well as policy to performance education initiatives for this work,” Lanier added.
