Tony Kindelspire writes the company helped launch the program in September in partnership with the Blackfox Training Institute, Colorado Labor Department and the Employment’s Veterans Services Division.
Al Dill, Blackfox CEO and president, told the newspaper Lockheed plans to officially hire the trainees on Veterans Day and a new class is scheduled to start that same day too.
Blackfox administers the program, which is funded by the CDLE.
Lockheed has pledged to consider hiring all program graduates for positions at its facility in Waterton Canyon, the report said.
Veterans who pass the Blackfox program receive four IPC certifications and eight Blackfox skill certifications.
