Ciber will work with the Roanoke County, Va. government to migrate the county’s human resources applications into a cloud computing environment.
The company will maintain an external hosting environment for the county’s Infor S3 applications and also perform testing work on the software, the company said Thursday.
Roanoke County will have Ciber host the county’s Infor Human Resources Process Suite for Benefits and Payroll, Employee and Manager Self Service and Absence Management tools in the company’s hosted system.
“With our services and solutions, Roanoke County can access their Infor software without the need to provide in-house infrastructure or resources to manage and support the applications,” said Beth Dvoracek, Ciber vice president of Infor practice leader.
The Center for Digital Government and the National Association of Counties ranked Roanoke County fifth in a 2013 nationwide survey of how counties with populations of 150,000 or less use technology to deliver services to citizens.
