Citrix has introduced a new set of desktop tools and services intended to help channel partners seek revenue opportunities.
The Cloud Provider Pack 2 is built for service providers to deploy desktop-as-a-service through the Citrix XenApp and Citrix XenDesktop systems, Citrix said Wednesday.
Mitch Parker, group vice president and general manager at Citrix, said the company intends for the new technology to help grow its service provider channels and fulfill requirements of end users.
The new service features an application orchestration technology for managing infrastructure allocation and installing applications in Citrix’s hosting platforms.
Citrix intends for hosting providers to perform Windows-related tasks through the CloudPortal services manager and service providers can use cloud services on various architectures, including the Apache CloudStack-based Citrix CloudPlatform.
Citrix’s channel partners cover markets such as telecommunications, healthcare, public sector, legal, finance, manufacturing, retail, agriculture and education.
