The companies aim for Dell’s customers to have more cloud implementation choices, Dell announced Thursday.
Microsoft previously joined Dell’s Cloud Partner Program to provide application development services to clients that use Windows Azure.
“Windows Azure is a flexible and scalable cloud platform that lets customers build on trusted Microsoft technology, including Windows Server 2012 R2 with Hyper-V and System Center 2012 R2,” said Garth Fort, Microsoft general manager of server and tools marketing.
“At the heart of Dell’s Cloud strategy are customer choice and flexibility, the underlying reasons driving our continued expansion of the Dell Cloud Partner Program and our open, scalable cloud solutions and services across Dell,” said Nnamdi Orakwue, vice president of strategy, operations and cloud for Dell Software Strategy.
Dell Cloud Partner Program clients will have access to a portfolio of Windows Azure applications, cloud consulting and application services guidance, cloud managers and direct support from a Dell salesperson.
