Deloitte opened a university in Belgium Monday to provide staff and clients in Europe, Middle East and Africa access to projects and curriculum for learning and innovation.
Deloitte University EMEA is based on a DU campus the firm opened two years ago in Westlake, Texas, the company noted Monday.
“Deloitte University is more than a physical location—it represents the global expansion of a different, and we think better, way of doing business,” said Barry Salzberg, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd. global CEO.
“As a professional services organization, we need smart, well-trained people to serve our clients across borders,” he added.
Firm professionals will run classes and lab sessions at the Brussels facility to give clients and staff an environment for collaborating on how to address business issues.
The firm anticipates the university to have nearly 4,000 students in fiscal year 2014.
