Gregg “Skip” Bailey is a principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP and serves as a federal competency director for the firm’s technology strategy and architecture platform.
The firm cites his areas of experience as data center consolidation and operations, network design and deployment and information technology services management.
Based at Deloitte’s Washington office, he also works as the firm’s federal cloud computing representative. as the federal representative for cloud computing.
Bailey holds a Ph.D. and master’s degree from New Mexico State University, as well as a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University.
Before joining Deloitte, Bailey served as chief information officer at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and handled more than $350 million in managed services contracts.
He also led the relocation of a data center and worked to refresh more than 7,000 desktops without service interruptions.
Bailey has also served at the FBI, where he managed more than 700 employees and 300 contractors with an annual $250 million operating budget.
In 2007, Bailey received the Presidential Rank Award – Meritorious Senior Professionals and Executives.
Outside of government, he has served as chief technology officer for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and also held roles such as director of engineering and architecture, director of global operations and director of human resources and special projects.
