Hewlett-Packard Co. has teamed up with Green Hills Software to integrate the mobile virtualization company’s technology and HP’s security service into the mobile devices offerings for UK customers.
Green Hills Software’s INTEGRITY Multivisor virtualization system and HP’s mobility end-to-end service will be embedded with Android-based smartphone and tablet products for the UK public sector, Green Hills Software said Wednesday.
“Our UK public sector clients have been searching for secure mobile solutions for IL2+ environments for some time,” said Dion Smith, director of operations, enablement and innovation for HP’s UK Public Sector.
The separation technology works to encrypt workspaces and control access to applications.
Christopher Smith, vice president of marketing at Green Hills Software, said the company’s technology is intended to help protect the customers’ privacy and sensitive enterprise information through its kernel-based Type-1 hypervisor isolation system.
Green Hills Software also performed an independent test on its mobile service against the UK Government Communications-Electronics Security Group’s security standards in order to achieve Commercial Product Assurance certification.
