HP Education Services’ certificate programs with the International Institute of Information Technology-Bangalore will provide students with skills on integrated networks, network security and networking for cloud.
Students who complete these programs will receive a joint certificate from HP and the IITB to allow them to pursue careers in the Indian remote infrastructure management industry.
Despite data from the National Association of Software and Services Companies forecast that that India’s global remote infrastructure management industry will grow 45% by the year 2020, NASSCOM found that the country’s manpower lacks the skills to address the projected boom, the CIOL article said.
“The Indian remote infrastructure management industry currently employs more than 100,000 people and NASSCOM expects demand for resources to more than triple by 2015,” said S Sadagopan, IIITB director. “Through a combination of HP’s leading technology education services and IIITB’s mentorship, Indian undergraduates in the networking certificate programs can build their IT skill set, therefore ensuring a steady stream of skilled workers for the industry.”
