Iron Mountain has been chosen by enterprise quality management technology provider SOLABS to provide colocation services for SOLABS’ cloud-based offering.
Under a multi-year deal, Iron Mountain will host the SOLABS QM software-as-a-service platform for life sciences clients from an underground storage facility in Pennsylvania, Iron Mountain said Monday.
The SOLABS cloud product is built to help biotechnology firms automate operations and comply with federal drug laws.
Mark Kidd, Iron Mountain senior vice president and general manager of data centers, said the company works to assist highly-regulated industries in managing business information.
Philippe Gaudreau, SOLABS CEO, said the partnership also seeks to help customers manage constant monitoring, remote testing and disaster recovery functions.
Iron Mountain’s Pennsylvania data center is based in a former limestone mine located 220 feet underground and designed with natural climate control technology.
