Level 3 Communications has accepted a Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Award recognizing work to provide content delivery network services to customers across Latin America.
Frost & Sullivan evaluated Level 3’s business performance and leadership in the CDN market based on metrics such as product innovation, value-added features, return on investment and customer penetration, Level 3 said Dec. 18.
“We initiated our CDN deployment in Latin America in 2012, and since then we have deployed nodes throughout the region and assisted various notable customers to improve their online services and grow their businesses,” said Leonardo Barbero, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of Level 3’s Latin American business.
The company offers content delivery services through its network architecture and as part of its Internet Protocol-based video cloud technology portfolio.
Ignacio Perrone, a senior consultant at Frost & Sullivan, said Level 3 works to integrate connectivity, infrastructure, feature-rich services for software, video and web applications.
