AONAon Global Risk Consulting has completed a survey of captive directors to examine the attitude of organizations toward major threats.

The Aon Plc risk management consulting arm extended its recent biennial Global Risk Management Survey in 2013 to investigate the respondents’ view on the top 50 risks, with a focus on analytics, Aon said Wednesday.

The survey showed that organizations underrated cybersecurity, which ranked the 18th risk to businesses.

“I believe the low rating of cyber threat might be due to a lack of ownership as often it’s not clear where this risk rests in an organization,” said Rory Moloney, CEO of Aon Global Risk Consulting.

Aon polled 1,415 respondents comprising risk managers, chief financial officers and CEOs worldwide.
