Elbit Systems has won a two-year $15 million contract for additional capbilities for the C-130H Hercules transport aircraft used by the Israeli Air Force.
The award is a follow-on to a contract from the Israel Ministry of Defense awarded in 2012, Elbit Systems announced Wednesday.
The upgrade intends to help the Israeli Air Force meet the requirements of Communications Navigation and Surveillance/Air Traffic Management.
“We have witnessed a growing demand for operability of transport aircraft in commercial airspace and trust that further customers will require similar capabilities for their transport fleets,” said Yoram Shmuely, Elbit Systems general manager of aerospace division.
