ICF, ExecutiveMosaicICF International will work with the European Commission’s Directorate General for Development and Cooperation to develop and implement emissions trading systems in China.

The company will design greenhouse gas emissions trading in China with the goal of helping the country lower emissions, ICF International said Wednesday.

David Hathaway, vice president and managing director for ICF in China, said the company intends to collaborate with the EU and Chinese government to help achieve climate change and development objectives.

The three-year European Union-funded project aims to further the ETS in China through training and technical assistance for policymakers, research organizations and industry stakeholders.
