Jacobs Engineering Group will work with the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center to oversee a Federal Railroad Administration program under a potential five-year, $70 million contract.
Jacobs will provide monitoring, technical assistance, review and training to grantees and borrowers of the FRA Grant and Loan program, Jacobs said Tuesday.
“Passenger and freight rail systems are vital components of the U.S. infrastructure, and we are pleased to support rail transportation improvements through this important program,†said Kevin McMahon, Jacobs group vice president.
The Volpe Center operates within the Transportation Department’s Research and Innovative Technology Administration.
