MWR InfoSecurity was selected out of three short-listed SMEs and was recognized for its work develop an analysis tool for rogue code detection in Android applications, Raytheon announced Thursday.
“Raytheon UK is wholly supportive of the UK government’s initiatives to support the development of SMEs, and in 2014, the company will further efforts to help SMEs develop their ideas in alignment with our technology and business strategies,” said Bob Delorge, Raytheon UK CEO.
“The benefits for SMEs include access to market, path to exploitation, and relationships with primes, which include guidance and networking.”
MWR InfoSecurity received the award at the “Agile Innovation for Cyber Security Boot Camp,” hosted by the U.K. government’s department for business, innovation and skills.
Raytheon says the project will conclude in March, when MWR InfoSecurity will show how their tool is intended for BYOD programs.
